"Variable font setup was frustrating"
I tried making a variable font with it, i was already in a bit of an impatient mood that day, so the whole thing got annoying fast. It kept behaving weirdly, the docs didn’t really clear things up, and exporting ended up being way more of a hassle than I expected
"Bugs got sorted out in the end"
I wasn’t thrilled at first because there were still a few bugs, but to be fair, they did get fixed eventually. It’s working better now, so I guess I can’t complain too much.
"Hard to trust the plugin setup anymore"
I do like some things about Glyphs, so this is disappointing. The plugin situation has been a real headache for me. Some plugins seem abandoned, others stop working after updates, and it’s way too hard to find clear, reliable info. I ended up digging through forums and random pages instead of actually getting work done. For a paid app, I expected the plugin support to feel a lot more stable. Maybe experienced users can figure it out, but as a regular user it just feels messy and unfinished. it’s made me lose trust in relying on the app for anything plugin-heavy.

"I really wanted to like glyphs.co..."
I really wanted to like glyphs.co, but wow, it was so much harder to get used to than I expected. I spent way too long just trying to figure out basic things, and after a while I felt kind of stupid for trusting that it would be beginner-friendly. Maybe it’s great if you already know your way around design tools, but for someone starting out, it was frustrating...
"Updates take forever :/"
The updates are just way too slow... I keep waiting and waiting, and it gets frustrating 😕
"Docs could be a lot clearer"
I tried using glyphs.co, but the documentation made things harder than it needed to be. A lot of the basics weren’t explained well, and there weren’t enough simple examples to follow. I felt like I was mostly guessing my way through, and I can imagine other new users would run into the same problem. It’s probably fine if you already know what you’re doing, but for first-time customers, the docs really need to be more helpful
"A bit tricky if you’re brand new"
I tried Glyphs as someone who’s pretty much just starting out, and I felt kind of lost a lot of the time. The tools seem nice and all, but I wish there were more basic guides or little walkthroughs. I ended up Googling simple stuff way more than I expected, so it didn’t feel super beginner-friendly to me.

"I mostly got glyphs.co because I wanted to..."
I mostly got glyphs.co because I wanted to use it for scripting and automation, but honestly... it turned into a headache fast.
The docs felt kind of scattered, and a few of the examples didn’t work the way I expected them to. I kept running into weird errors and, yeah, I ended up spending more time troubleshooting than actually getting anything done.
Maybe it’s okay if you’re just doing simple stuff, but for automation, it felt too unreliable for me. After wasting way too much time on it, I just gave up

"I want to love it, but it still crashes"
I’ve stuck with this brand for a while, so I really want to keep liking it. It does get the job done most of the time, but the random crashes are frustrating enough that I’m starting to question whether I should keep putting up with it.

"I really wanted to like glyphs for..."
I really wanted to like glyphs for font design, and I can see why some people do. But just as a heads-up, the workflow has been frustrating for me. Some tools feel buried or don’t behave the way I’d expect, and switching between editing, spacing, and exporting takes more clicks than it should. It does technically work, but if you’re expecting something smooth and intuitive, you might want to be prepared for a lot of little slowdowns.

"Good in spots, but not really pro-ready"
I wanted to like it, and there are parts that feel polished and easy to use. But the more I tried to use it for serious work, the more frustrating it got. It gives off the impression that it can handle pro-level tasks, then you hit the limits quickly because the deeper tools just aren’t there. So it’s not bad, but it left me feeling like it was promising more than it could actually deliver.

"Works fine on my Mac for the most part"
I’ve been using Glyphs on my Mac and it runs well overall. I did run into a few little glitches after updates, which gets a bit annoying when I’m in the middle of working on fonts. Nothing major or deal-breaking, but I do wish it felt a little smoother sometimes

"Exports usually work, but I hate waiting on hiccups"
For the most part, exports have been reliable for me. I did run into one random hiccup, which was annoying because I just wanted to get it done and move on, but aside from that it mostly works fine.

"Helpful, but a little unclear in spots"
The tutorials were decent and helped me get started, so I can’t complain too much. A few parts felt like they skipped over details, though, and I had to go back through my emails/receipt info and double-check things on my own. Overall not bad, just wish everything was explained a bit more clearly...

"Pretty decent, but hard to justify the price"
I mean, it’s not bad, and I can see why some people might like it, but for what you actually get, it felt a little too expensive for me. Maybe it’s worth it for others, but I’m not totally convinced

"I couldn't really get comfortable with the interface"
I gave glyphs.co a try for a little while, but the interface kept frustrating me. The buttons weren’t always obvious, the menus felt kind of cluttered, and I kept getting turned around even when I was trying to do simple things. I even wondered if it was just me and looked around to see if other people had the same issue, because maybe experienced users get used to it. But for me, the design made it more stressful than helpful

"I tried using it for a bit..."
I tried using it for a bit and couldn’t even figure out the basic stuff. The menus felt all over the place, and nothing was as simple as it shoudl’ve been. Maybe it makes sense after a while, but my first experince was just frustrating.

"I gave glyphs a try with some..."
I gave glyphs a try with some older font files, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. Some parts of the app seem solid, but the file support was frustrating for me. Importing didn’t work the way I expected, and the export options felt more confusing than they needed to be. I can see it working fine for other people, but for my workflow it was more of a hassle than a help...

"OpenType features were more frustrating than expected"
I was excited to try the OpenType features, but they didn’t really work the way I expected. When I asked about it, it felt like the response leaned more on policy explanations than actually helping fix the issue, which was frustrating. I get that there are guidelines, but as a customer I just wanted the features to work smoothly.

"Why is it so slow?"
I really wanted to use the site, but the pages take forever to load, and sometimes it just freezes for no obvious reason. I even tried it on different Wi-Fi, and guess what? Same problem. How are you supposed to browse or get anything done when you're just sitting there waiting? it got frustrating fast and didn’t feel worth the time...
